About Aqualand

Offering incredible weather, a relaxed atmosphere, a vibrant culture, a rich heritage, and some of the most breathtaking views you will ever lay your eyes upon, it’s no wonder why the Algarve, the coastal region of Western Portugal, is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world. While there’s no shortage of activities to enjoy here, if you’re planning a trip to the Algarve and you’re looking to include something that will be sure to provide fun for people of all ages, you’ll certainly want to include a visit to Aqualand waterpark on your itinerary.

Situated in central Algarve, Aqualand waterpark is within close proximity to Lagoa and Albuferia, though it’s easy to reach, no matter what part of the region you will be calling your home base. Offering a wide variety of features and attractions, including adrenaline-pumping water slides, a Kidzworld, a wave pool, and a lazy river, every member of your party – no matter their age or their interests – will be sure to find something fun to engage in at Aqualand waterpark.

An Overview of Aqualand Attractions

From adrenaline-pumping water slides and relaxing lazy rivers, Aqualand offers something fun for everyone. There’s a dedicated children’s area, too, which offers kid-proof rides and slides that are safe for even the youngest members of your group.

Adrenaline-Pumping Rides and Attractions

Thrill-seekers will find no shortage of activities to enjoy at Aqualand. King Cobra is a heart-pumping slide that sends you sailing down the back of – you guessed it! – the king of all snakes, a cobra! You can ride solo or with a friend, but either way, you’ll start at nearly 25 meters off the ground, and will go sailing down the twisted body, complete with sharp turns, tunnels, and opened sections, on a float. When you least expect it, you’ll plunge at a 40 percent tilt, out of the head of a king cobra!

Other heart-pumping rides include the Hydra, which includes a collection of three large slides, the Crazy Leap, the Banzai, the Super Surf, as well as a simulation of white water rafting on the Rapids.

Family Fun

Aqualand offers plenty of activities for the whole family. Flying Carpets sends you sailing down slides on a mat. Surf Beach is an exhilarating wave pool, which switches between large waves and calm waters in intervals. There’s a semi-Olympic swimming pool, too, where you and your crew can have fun doing flips, dives, jumps, and races.

KidszWorld

KidzWorld was designed specifically with little ones in mind. This kid-friendly section of the park boasts an assortment of attractions that your kids will be sure to life. Children’s Paradise feature two pools, several slides, castles, fountains, and an assortment of animal figures, too. The Rainbow Park features brightly colored mini slides, showers, oversized crayon sculptures, a mushroom waterfall; all in shallow water.

Congo River

Last but certainly not least is Congo River. This lazy river twists and turns around the waterpark, and invites you to float in the shallow water and just sit back, relax, and soak up the sun.
